Lucas or Lucas S. Denvers is the main protagonist in the THEM Saga, being a test subject (and biggest security risk) to one of Mr. GMD's virtual reality projects in the year of 2045.
A pure-orange anthropomorphic fox with black-tipped ears, wearing a gray Seer's vest with blue accents.
Alone without his family for some time, Lucas had become a poor beggar and alcoholic in the slums of the Ark. Desperate for money and needing a place to stay, Lucas would apply for Mr. GMD's new virtual reality project, with his consciousness transferred to a new undiscovered realm.
Listen, you've been quite fun to fight. You've been sly and cunning, you almost remind me of myself. but you just crossed a line. You just pulled that one Jenga block too hard and now the whole tower's gonna fall down with a crash. So, mister, can I make a suggestion? Run. Run as fast as your little legs can carry you. Because as long as I am fighting for this world I will follow you to Heaven and Hell. And what happens when I find you and your little gang? My dear, dear, Hartwarm, I'm going to do just what I do best. Give 'em hell.
Reborn in Imagina as a Seer. He and his friend, Naomi Farkas, would meet at the age of 15 and study together for three years. Their home would be attacked by a group of animaion slave traders, leading to Naomi's death from their residence burning to a fiery inferno. Lucas would mourn the lost of his friend for two years, after wallowing in his self pity, he would go to finally find purpose. Using his skills, he would start mocking the TITANs for some of their decision, becoming infamous for constantly escaping death.
One day, he would be approached by two cloaked figures. These figures would offer him the gift of "salvation", the only price would be to leave Val behind. Lucas denied this offer immediately, vowing to defend Val with his life. The figures would leave him alone for a time, and the odd encounter would be forgotten. While at a public bath, he would talk to a local named Mekki. Mekki would warn Lucas of a Titan named Spectra, a Titan whose purpose was unknown (other than their special "Spectrix"). Though, while this Titan's title was unknown, it had a weakness that Lucas could abuse.
Eventually after the bath, a figure wearing a rainbow helmet and chestplate approached him. They would call themself Spectra, giving Lucas two options: Allow for Spectra to slaughter the Beast of the Cave for Imagina's destruction (who the THEM had control over), or die defending it. Lucas would keep to his promise and challenge the corrupted Titan to a duel, defeating and freeing him from the corruption; they would make a truce for the "good of Imagina". One of the cloaked figures (named Hartwarm) who had came up to Lucas initially surfaced after Spectra's betrayal, attempting to cause fear within the people of Imagina; warning of Spectra's true nature. Lucas hearing of the hysteria, would force Hartwarm to give evidence of his claims, calming the townsfolk and foiling Hartwarm's plan.
Lucas would create his group of friends; Sir Issac Ethras of Atroth, Kyrin Summer, Meeka the Hyena, and Spectra. Meeka would choose to stay behind as the rest went to the Divide, fearing of the "Salvation" the cloaked figures dreamt of. During their quest, they went to a place nicknamed "Hell". A Hellspawn named Calne would attempt to kill Issac, though would quickly be tamed. As she was going to be recruited, Calne had been previously tricked into making a deal with the Beast of the Cave, banishing her to Grimdark. Lucas, furious, would track down the Beast and attempt to slaughter her.
The Beast would speak to him, she would reveal her name as "Kiyomi", instructing Lucas to continue his conquest as his fears were correct. A Primal of Chaos (named Pi'Lumix) rested within what the THEM referred to as "Salvation", and if he were to be released, chaos would rule the lands and call for the end of the universe. Lucas understood these instructions, continued on with his quest.
They ventured into a library and met Robot, they became great allies quickly. As the group went to leave however, a doll blocked their path. The doll would promise to assist in Lucas' journey, if he laid down his blade — following her commands, the doll grabbed it. Lucas would fight for the blade back, shattering the doll in return. Kiyomi would rip Lucas out of his current situation and would speak to him for the final time. Giving him the choice to grant a wish. Lucas, losing hope, wished to be the hero everyone thought he was. She would grant the wish, taking him to another part of Imagina for his final battle with the THEM.
As Lucas awoke, a tall rabbit with a busted eye would be carrying him. After regaining full consciousness, the rabbit would introduce himself as Alvion, and their current location as his ship. His colonel would nurse Lucas back to health, and Alvion would throw a laser rifle at the young man, though as Lucas searched around, Spectra was missing. Alvion, Robot, Issac, Kyrin, and Lucas would all re-enter the Divide, for their final challenge. Spectra would reveal himself as the true mastermind, showing what Hartwarm was warning the gang of was indeed, true. Spectra morphed into his true from, a giant fierce lindwyrm called the Spectral Demoniac.
Admiral Headcannon would join the group as backup with his fleet, and they would all come together to fight Spectra. Spectra, nearing defeat killed Robot. Lucas was devastated, about to mourn when Alvion put his hand on Lucas' shoulder telling him to keep going as Robot “wasn't important". Kiyomi, mourning the lost of her beloved daughter Serenity rampaged through several of the Warrior'd THEM, killing Lucas' rival Hartwarm once in for all. Kiyomi would be noticed by the weakened Spectra and, taking his chance, forced the last of the Tortisu Tul Yon out of her, leading to her death. The Salvation was complete, and Pi'Lumix had been freed.
In a last ditch effort to stop everything, Lucas resorted to the Third Impact; Killing Pi'Lumix and, unfortunately, destroying all life. Alone, he would be left to ponder in the endless void of the universe. Truly forced to think, alone with his thoughts. After some time, he noticed a bright red triangular gem in the distance. A miracle! Another being, whatever it was had lived. As he approached it, it would seem oddly familiar to him, but... different. It had looked like the Beast, Kiyomi or whatever her name was, but it was much smaller. Her ears (if they even were ears), were long and had a stripe on them. A long poofy striped tail, that could easily roll up. When he got close, she held out her paw, and the crimson embers of millions; billions of spirits had enticed him. The being, a guardian started to call to him, shall they move past this tragedy and restore everything to the way it was, with him absent? Or keep the world as it is, and be forced to sit alone in nothingness until his eventual passing.
Lucas pondered, thinking about how the inhabitants of Imagina; his friends, his enemies, the TITANs would feel. With a heavy heart, he would give into the deal — Erasing his existence, though restoring the beauty of both Val and Imagina.
