Cerio-Cataclysm
Long before the creation of Val, once lived a prospering civilization. The Ancients had conquered several planets in the cosmos, and had a tendency to move the manastream itself with comets. The Ancients and the Primals were mostly at peace with each other, and kept to themselves. Though the Primals were unorderly, without a leader to guide them with their elemental tasks and magics. A cult of mages despised their lack of order and control, and wanted man to have complete control over the manastream and the Primals.
Their leader, Ceriototius, devised a plan to make himself a god and bring the manastream to the people, and to control the Primals once and for all. For this, they would need to sacrifice the civilization, the manastream and their efforts and bring all their trust into him. Then, He could ascend to Prime Godhood and capture the Primals ensuring their complete obedience to him. The cult agreed and combining their collective mana erased Ceriototius' physical being, making him one with the manastream. He became a Primal, a Primal of pure mana. With his Primalhood, he would consume the civilization, wiping them out within a day, and using the combined mana of all of the Ancients, he became a Prime God.
Following through with his plan, he contained the Primals who disobeyed him in his new planet of Val, only to be released if they were absolutely necessary for life to be sustained. Using his newfound power he created his own Primal with Val's Sun, Krystaious, with her appearance being inspired by the now dead Ancients. Together with Ceriototius' mana capabilities and Krystaious' power of creation, they would create the Valians, also inspired by the Ancients. He then created Onyaxious, Vanious, and Ceravarius, all with the sole purpose to follow Krystaious as their leader, and aid Val with their talents of knowledge, nature, and the balance and judgement between light and dark.
Blizzards of Imagina
No matter what ending the player gets, Ceriototius will always speak to the player (though only physically appears in ICE's ending). Ceriototius tells the player that it is not time for humanity to end, and goes back in time to tell Tarerius to make Borlor and Firados to stop fighting before the events of Blizzards of Imagina can happen, leading to the world being completely restored after the interaction.
Trivia
- While he doesn't appear himself in the THEM Saga, the Cerio-Cataclysm is a major motivation for the THEM's plans to destroy Imagina.
- Ceriototius' orb is the only orb to not be linked with a Champion, instead being given to Zee Bawx's administrators.
- In newer lore rewrites, Ceriototius' role gets replaced with Salcandoran, the Entas, and The Grand Arcane.
- This also changes the story regarding the birth of Val and Krystaious.
- Ceriototius is one of the few characters to have a game centered around them specifically, the others being Noivla, The GiantMilkBots, DJ Ultaro, and Ghoswoolfie.
- This game was called Ceriototius, the Titan of Titans.
